Trauma-Centre Trauma
Sensitive Yoga
TCTSY is an empirically validated, clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Living in your body in the aftermath of trauma can be incredibly challenging. Trauma can have far-reaching impacts on your body & mind.
It can affect how you see the world, how you move through the world & how you interact with others.
It can affect memory, cause dissociation and mental ill-health such as anxiety and depression.
The body can also house difficult feelings and emotions in relation to the trauma, including your triggers.
Despite the body traditionally being left out of the therapy room, the body can also be a great source of healing.
Through specific body-based healing methods such as TCTSY, you can come home to your body safely by exploring choice, empowerment & present moment experience in a non-coercive, invitational way.
TCTSY focuses on -
In TCTSY, the focus is on the internal experience of the form, rather than the outer “look” or “getting it right”.

Acknowledgement of Country.
I acknowledge the Awabakal People, who are the Traditional Owners of the land on which I work & live. I offer my deepest respect & gratitude to the care they’ve taken of this beautiful, coastal area, which has been a source of healing & restoration for over 50,000 years.
I offer my respects to their community - Elders past & present as well as any young people in the community.
I acknowledge First Nation’s tradition of sharing wisdom & connecting together, a tradition I aim to honour through the work of Community Resilience Project.
Acknowledgement of Yoga Teachers & Traditional Lineages.
I also recognise the traditional lineages of yogic philosophy and spirituality. I acknowledge all the teachers who have come before me, particularly those in South East Asia & India.
