Somatic sessions
Process & digest life using your body.
Release stress or trauma that is stored somatically.
During these sessions, we can attend to something specific or move through a general sense of overwhelm, exhaustion, stuckness or physical/emotional pain.
Somatic Sessions are trauma-informed and underpinned by Dr Scott Lyon’s Somatic Stress Release. Depending on what needs tending to in your life, we may use techniques to release stress, restore your inner resources or expand your capacity to dance with life.
You can think of it like talk therapy, but without having to talk about your past or tell your story over & over again.
Somatic sessions can be used as an adjunctive or alternative treatment to standard talk therapy.
If you have experienced complex trauma, experience dissociation or have difficulty being with your body, I recommend starting with TCTSY.

Trauma Centre Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY)
TCTSY is an embodied approach to trauma recovery and is the only evidence-based yoga treatment for trauma.
It is based on hatha yoga, but focuses on the internal experience of each form rather than the “outer look” or “getting it right.”
TCTSY offers you a felt sense of choice & being in charge of your own body.
During the sessions, we explore physical forms together, practice being present, experience sensing your environment and sometimes we might gently explore the breath.

TCTSY is established as an effective stand-alone treatment for PTSD.
